It's March 19th, and I feel like this month is just sprinting along. Welcome to my latest blog post, where I'll be discussing the release of Written in the Deep, Saint Patrick's Day, and an upcoming (today) podcast, I'll be a part of. So stay tuned for this and more from your friendly (mostly, kinda/sorta) neighborhood (some random neighborhood, not necessarily yours) closed door romance author!
This past Sunday, March 16th was the release for Written in the Deep, and so far readers are loving it. Mainly four and five star ratings. Which is great, so I'll take it and be thankful. **One note of caution, if YOU tend to swing more towards the sweet side of closed door romance, my books may not be for you. They ARE closed door (no sex or sexually explicit content on the page), but that doesn't mean there isn't tension and passion. I just want you to be aware BEFORE reading my books and risk you being upset and leaving me a bad review. I recently had two ARC readers who DNF'd Written because it was too steamy for their personal taste. WHICH IS FINE. Everyone is entitled to their own comfort level, so please don't heap insult on these readers--I treasure them, truly. Like I said, I just wanted to offer a word of caution. If you follow Rachel Parker at Closed Door Romance, she rates my books at a Level 3 for heat, with MILD swearing. And if you're not following her, you SHOULD. She's wonderful.
As Sunday was also the day before Saint Patrick's Day, we celebrated that holiday on Sunday as well. I ended up making a Dublin Coddle (stew), soda bread, and an Irish Apple Cake. Everything was delicious. Sorry, I didn't get pictures... All three of these recipes can be found in the Irish Pub Cookbook that I am giving away. A couple years back, I'd bought myself one after we came back from Ireland, and loved it so much, thought readers might enjoy a taste of Ireland, even if they never get to go, so added one to that giveaway I'm doing. Speaking of, I'll do that drawing this next Sunday, so if you haven't entered yet, don't wait! You have MANY ways to be entered and increase your odds.
Fun Fact: I've NEVER done a podcast before. Today, I'll be a guest on the Magnificent Mama's podcast. Here's their website: magnificentmommas.us
You can find them on FB, YT, IG, and TT. Not sure yet when this podcast will post, but it should be fun!
