Giveaway Sneak Peek and Blog Post

Hello you marvelous people! Thanks for stopping by. Before we get too far into this blog post and giveaway, can we say a quick, but sincere prayer for those affected by the fires in LA, as well as those who are fighting them? My heart just goes out to all of them. I know, locally, we've had at least three teams of fire crews headed down there.

The devastation is insane... Lord, please just keep them safe. Heavenly Father, I ask your hand of mercy and provision over those affected by the fires, and for those who are responding to aid them, in Jesus' name, Amen.

It was one month ago TODAY, that I had my shoulder surgery. Healing is still going well. My tattoo is beautifully still intact--the surgeon did a fantastic job. Had one minor hiccup in that I hate sitting around doing nothing, so might have done too much and injured/strained the biceps tendon. Eh, all seems good now. Was REALLY painful at the time. Thank the Good Lord that I truly seem to have done no serious damage. And yes, I am doing my best to take it easy. My husband even refused to allow me to help him and our youngest unload hay last week (I was just going to roll the bales off the trailer one-handed). Sigh. I'm still ahead of the game mobility-wise, so there's that.

Currently, I'm finishing up Empire of Storms, the second to last book in the Throne of Glass series in my yearly reread. I think I've shared how much I love this series. My dog's name is Aelin, and my horse's name is Rowan. Yeah. Sorry, not sorry. LOL. That's my reading news.

Writing news: I'm still working on Between Blood and Stone. I've been stymied just a bit, in that, I've sat down twice to write and both times was interrupted and pulled from my zone. Bad words. Like sleep, I can't just jump right back in, and must wade in, slowly immersing myself, especially, with the WAY this story is being shaped. I'll get it, though. Have no fear.
