Goodbye, and Hello, A New Blog Post

A new blog post, just for you, dear Reader,

2024 is basically over, just a handful of days left. Then we'll welcome in 2025. I don't know about you, but I'm hoping it will be a little kinder and calmer than 2024.

Not that 2024 was awful. It wasn't. I just felt like I couldn't catch my breath. I'd just recover from one thing and something else was popping up. Was that you as well? As I get older, I just want and NEED peace. Calmness and stillness in my life. I want less things, and more silence.

Hopefully, your Christmas was wonderful, and your heart and home were filled with peace. Hopefully, you were able to focus on the reason we celebrate this season: Jesus. I'm always in awe of what He did for us. And will remain eternally thankful He sought me out.

In other news, I had my shoulder surgery. Everything came out well. The surgeon did end up moving the biceps tendon to below my shoulder, and cleaned out quite a bit of inflammation while he was at it. He says, movement-wise, I'm ahead of schedule. Yay me. I start PT tomorrow. I can type for a little bit, but need to rest the arm often. Can't complain, though; it could be way worse.

Written has been sent off to an editor for proofreading. It's already had a developmental edit done, and the Betas have given their input and those suggestions were addressed. I should hear back from the editor by January 18. I'm looking at a release date of the week of Saint Patrick's Day. Thought that would be fitting. I'll have a more concrete date the closer we get to March.

In other book news, I've begun work on another novel. This one is titled, Between Blood and Stone. If you read my Guardian series books, Between Earth and Eden, and Between Heaven and Hell, then you'll know what to expect with this one. I'm still in the EARLY stages. Just working on a first draft right now. But I'm liking how this one is going.

Currently, I'm rereading the Throne of Glass series and am in Heir of Fire. How about you, what books are you reading? What's your most looked-forward-to read of 2025? I don't know if I can pick just one. I'm looking forward to: Onyx Storm, The Ballad of Falling Dragons, and the next Fae & Alchemy book--which is scheduled to release in November.
