I don't know about you, but this year started fast, and just refuses to slow down. I feel as though I'm always a day late and a dollar short. *Breathing fast*
In writing news: as I've mentioned before, I have revised Out of the Blue and had begun the querying process. And while everyone who has responded has been kind, so far, no one has said, yes.
One agent though, gave me some feedback and suggested I self-publish my back stock and try again with something fresh and new. I've given this some thought and think this may be the way I proceed. Now, I'm researching how to self-publish, what to do, and when to do it.
Hopefully, I'll have happy news for you on that subject soon.
In other writing news, I'm almost to 80k words on Written in the Deep, the sequel to OotB. Yay me. And have even worked on a couple bonus chapters tying the two together. I'm not sure how I'll release those. Maybe post them here...? I'll have to see.
I love music and recently discovered a new-to-me band: Arctic Monkeys. I've never heard of them before, but their song, "Do I Wanna Know" was suggested for a playlist I was creating for Written. I REALLY like them. Such a good song, too.
Reading wise, I'm up to 17 of 50 books for the year on Goodreads. Two books that really hit me in a good way are: Fourth Wing, and Bride. Ermagersh. So. Darned. Good. *Please Note: these are NOT closed door, or clean books and can, at times, be quite explicit. You've been warned.
That's it, that's all I've got. Other than to add, I made a really delicious whiskey cream sauce for the pork chops I made on St. Patrick's Day.
Have music you want to share, a book you recommend, or a recipe that is simply lovely? Go ahead and drop me a line.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, keep reading.
