What's new in the closed door world of E.L. Irwin, a blog post

What does the closed door world of E.L. Irwin consists of, you ask? So glad you did! Grab something to drink and lets dive in.

As shared in my previous blog post, I'd intended to get my horse, Rowan, to the trainer's last week. Well, with minimal struggle, I did. Honestly, despite my bumps and bruises, he did so well. Though, it was rather like a Kate moment (IYKYK), and my cheek is mildly bruised, as is my leg and arm, but the trainer is impressed with him and eager to get to work. Can't wait to see how things go.

In actual closed door romance news, The Lost and Found is nearing release! I've seen two cover proofs and though they were beautiful, it wasn't quite what I was after, so we're continuing to tweak things to get the best cover we can. All the little, but mighty pieces are aligning to get this in your hands. The cover, the blurb (book description/back cover), and all the edits. I have it with Rachel at Closed Door Romance for a marketing pull service that she does. Basically, she reads the manuscript and pulls tropes, quotes, and puts together suggestions for how to market the book (and does a FANTASTIC job). So yeah, things are coming along there.

And I'm well into all three of the brothers you will meet in TLAF, Cam, Fynn, and Rafe's books. Well, novellas. I'm writing three novellas for each of the brothers to be combined in one book that so far, is called, In Matters of the Heart.

One more thing on The Lost and Found, I will be looking for Beta readers for this one soon, so be sure to stay tuned if you'd like to be a part of that. Newsletter subscribers will get that sign up opening first.

In other news, I mentioned last time that I'd recently joined TikTok. Something I'd honestly sworn to NEVER do. Yet, here I am. Doing it. LOL. I'm slowly but surely building up my following there and came across an account that was closed door, so I gave her a follow. Based upon one of her suggestions, I recently finished the book, The Veil Between Us by Michelle Zeynep. If you've ever seen the movie, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, you kind of get a feel for this one. Truly enjoyed this closed door paranormal romance. It's not historical, though the FMC is a historian.

Oh, and the account I followed, and she's on IG and FB as well, is Amanda Shin, @amandamshin on TikTok and amanda_marie_shinn on IG. You should give her a follow; she puts out some good and entertaining content.
